Got a Tip?

If you’ve come across something that looks like a systemic problem — a pattern of conduct by a large corporation, a financial institution, or a licensed service provider that affects many people — I’d like to hear about it.

What I’m most interested in are cases where a pattern can be established: the same type of failure, the same misleading practice, or the same harm repeated across many customers over time. The kind of thing where a well-documented investigation shared with the right regulator could actually change how a company operates.

A few things to know upfront:

I’m not able to help individual victims recover lost funds. I don’t do asset recovery, and I can’t trace or recover stolen cryptocurrency for individuals. If you’ve been scammed and need help getting your money back, your best starting point is a police report and your national consumer protection authority.

What I can sometimes do is take a credible pattern, dig into it properly, and put together something that a regulator or a journalist can act on. No guarantees — most tips don’t turn into investigations, and most investigations don’t get published. But the ones that do have, on occasion, made things a little better.
